MEDICAL ELIGIBILITY FOR CDS
Given below is the eligibility criteria for CDS exam.The CDS medical exam is also a requirement for CDS exam eligibility. In a medical checkup, there are numerous CDS physical conditions.
- The Services Selection Board (SSB) will pick a participant who will be subjected to a medical examination by a Board of Service Medical Officers.

ELIGIBILITY FOR A CDS EXAM BASED ON EYESIGHT

Male Candidates’ Vision Requirements
- With or without glasses, the candidate must be able to read 6/6 on a distance vision chart with each eye (For navy and Air Force without glasses only).
- Myopia should not exceed 3.5D.
- Hypermetropia, including astigmatism, should not exceed 3.5D.
Female Candidates’ Vision Standard
- With or without glasses, the aspirant must be able to read 6/6 (better eye) and 6/8 (worse eye) on a distance vision chart.
- Myopia, including astogination, should not be more than − 5.5.
- To rule out any eye illness, an ophthalmoscope will be used to examine the inside of the eye.
- A candidate’s binocular vision must be good.
- CP-III will be the colour vision standard.
- A candidate should be able to distinguish between red and green.

Teeth, Ear, Nose, and Throat Problems — Your CDS Physical Qualification also includes your dental, ear, nose, and throat conditions. Take a look at the standards listed below.
- The candidates should have a sufficient quantity of healthy teeth.
- It is necessary to have at least 14 dental focuses.
- Serious pyorrhea is not something a hopeful should be facing.
